That's the Bill Joy "quote" that I've had in my head. I've quoted it so many times. I've had a 'todo' to go find the reference for it for years. I finally got around to that today.

Comes for the Java One talk he gave (2003?) talking about how "Innovation Happens Elsewhere". Made the point that every company should have a plan for working with the open source world since that's how software will be developed in the future.
